Operations Leader Responsibilities:

  • Lead production operations to achieve established safety, quality, productivity, and budget goals.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee compliance with operating strategies to optimize performance.
  • Ensure direct reports understand and drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while fostering teamwork and engagement.
  • Manage performance of direct reports, including evaluations, training, development, disciplinary actions, and recommendations for promotions, transfers, terminations, and wage adjustments.
  • Plan and monitor workflow to maximize resource utilization and ensure on-time delivery of customer requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems, environmental practices, and documentation requirements.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement projects within the scope of responsibility.
  • Minimize non-productive time and actively control and reduce work-in-process (WIP).
  • Maintain strong communication across all organizational levels through co-worker and supervisor meetings.
  • Participate in APQP, support new program launches, and provide technical input for change requests.
  • Lead justification and evaluation of new equipment to support operational needs.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to achieve company-wide objectives.
  • Perform duties of direct reports when necessary, including direct oversight of production areas or shifts.
  • Coordinate Emergency Response Program and ensure preparedness.
  • Support Serigraph's current quality business system and understand the use of SPECS, the Serigraph quality manual.

What we are looking for in an Operations Leader:

  • Five to ten years of relevant industry experience.
  • Progressive responsibility in production management.
  • Understanding of departmental procedures and policies.
  • Ability to use ERP system for required documentation.
  • Knowledge of good departmental and company safety/housekeeping/PPE practices.
  • Understand departmental procedures and policies.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
  • Coursework or training in people management.
  • Previously attended Lean Six Sigma Green or Black belt training
