Our client, an established organization within the manufacturing and industrial sector, is seeking an Operations & Inventory Coordinator to support its Moultrie, Georgia operation. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right individual.

The Operations & Inventory Coordinator will play a key role in supporting day-to-day material flow, production planning, inventory control, and shipping and receiving activities. Acting as a central link between production, operations, sales, and logistics, this position will help ensure inventory, scheduling, documentation, and material movement remain accurate and aligned with operational requirements.

The Role

  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments and work with carriers and internal teams to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Verify shipments against orders and ensure materials are properly identified and recorded.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within internal ERP and inventory systems.
  • Track raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with Operations and Finance to resolve issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Coordinate with Production to align output with customer orders, shipping priorities, material availability, and operational capacity.
  • Monitor production workflow and help adjust schedules when priorities or operating conditions change.
  • Provide visibility to internal stakeholders regarding production status, inventory availability, and potential delays.
  • Coordinate material movement between receiving, production, warehouse, and shipping areas.
  • Work closely with operational teams to support efficient material flow and product organization.
  • Act as a liaison between Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, scheduling, material flow, and administrative processes.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of standardized operating procedures and best practices.
  • Promote safe working practices and promptly communicate operational or safety concerns.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 2–5 years of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, production coordination, logistics, or a related operational role.
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or distribution operations is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working around warehouse, yard, or production operations is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, material movement, and operational coordination.
  • Experience supporting production planning or scheduling is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory and documentation accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience working with ERP, inventory management, or similar operational systems.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and logistics coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Effective communicator who can work across production, operations, logistics, sales, and office teams.
  • Proactive, practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Post-secondary education in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Health and safety training is considered an asset.
  • Available to start quickly and interested in a temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent.
