This is where your journey takes shape through action, responsibility, and the opportunity to grow in many directions.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
Every day is a little different as an Operations Human Resources Partner Intern. This internship will immerse you in HR within a global organisation, with the opportunity to work on projects across different HR areas — from employee relations and training to compensation and workforce analytics. You might spend your morning analysing workforce data to identify trends and build recommendations for your team, then spend your afternoon supporting an employee relations case or collaborating with operations leaders on a training initiative.
Amazon's HR function is deeply embedded in the business, so no matter which project you are working on, part of your role will involve using data and analytical thinking to drive decisions. You'll apply your problem-solving and technical skills to real challenges, while developing important communication and professional soft skills through hands-on experience. With a dedicated mentor guiding your development throughout the programme, you'll gain insights into how HR partners with the business to drive growth and organisational excellence — providing a strong foundation for a career in human resources.
Note: You must have the right to work in the country of employment by the start date.

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.
Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.
Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.
You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
