Operations Field Support Specialist
Do you have experience in customer service or providing business operational support? If so, this may be the opportunity for you! As an Operations Field Support Specialist on our Operations Work Management team, you will provide essential support to System and Field Operations staff and collaborate with multiple departments across Colorado Springs Utilities. The work that you do through ensuring data accuracy, scheduling work, supporting projects, reconciling field completed tasks, and managing errors will help our field personnel continue to accomplish work safely in our community.
What Else Will You be Doing?
- Supporting activities and projects for specific departments and/or divisions
- Analyzing and interpreting data to identify and correct errors by field employees to ensure data and billing accuracy
- Coordinating utility service appointments and ensuring accurate scheduling through utility systems
- Researching permits, tracking the collection and/or receipt of documents, and liaising between Pikes Peak Regional Building and contractors to ensure compliance and completion of hazards
- Researching and compiling information to ensure compliant and effective task execution
- Maintaining Power BI data for tracking and reporting accuracy
Who You Are
- Experience with providing customer service, administrative, and/or business operations support
- Ability to learn applications, software, two-way radio, and business processes
- Ability to multitask and respond to rapidly shifting priorities while remaining flexible
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- The successful candidate will possess the ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making; research information and analyze data; strong detail-orientation; and collaborate with others to achieve results
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or small amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
- Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions within an office working environment.
