Operations Executive – Ho Chi Minh City

Take ownership of shipments and help ensure smooth and reliable freight forwarding operations for LEMAN Vietnam.

We are looking for an experienced and service-minded Operations Executive to join our Sea & Air team in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is a hands-on operational role for someone who enjoys coordinating shipments from start to finish and working closely with customers, carriers, vendors, and colleagues.

You will be responsible for managing shipments end-to-end and ensuring that daily operations are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with our procedures and customer expectations.

Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Finance, Operations, and the wider LEMAN organisation, you will play an important role in delivering reliable service and ensuring smooth cargo handling.

Your impact

This is first and foremost a hands-on freight forwarding operations role.

Your success will be driven by your ability to take ownership of shipments, manage operational details, meet deadlines, and ensure accurate communication throughout the shipment process.

You will coordinate shipments from booking through execution and follow-up, including manifest filing, data entry, invoicing, SI/VGM submission, pre-alerts, and shipment tracking.

You will work closely with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues, maintain high data quality, and ensure shipments are handled according to internal procedures and customer requirements.

By keeping a close eye on operational performance, shipment profitability, and outstanding issues, you will help ensure reliable day-to-day execution across our freight forwarding activities.

What you will do

• Manage shipments end-to-end, including booking, manifest filing, data entry, invoicing, SI/VGM submission, pre-alerts, and shipment tracking
• Ensure daily operations are completed accurately and in accordance with internal work instructions and procedures
• Maintain a high level of data quality and ensure information shared with customers is correct and timely
• Coordinate closely with Sales, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure smooth cargo handling
• Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and other relevant parties throughout the shipment process
• Review the profitability of individual shipments and escalate potential losses or discrepancies when required
• Monitor outstanding operational issues and escalate exceptional cases to the Hub Manager
• Follow internal SOPs, KPIs, compliance requirements, and company policies
• Ensure operational assignments and deadlines are completed on time

What we’re looking for

You are structured, responsible, and comfortable managing multiple shipments and stakeholders at the same time.

You take ownership of your work, pay close attention to detail, and understand the importance of accurate execution and communication in international freight forwarding.

We would ideally like you to have:

• 2–3 years of experience within freight forwarding or logistics, with a solid understanding of end-to-end import and export shipment handling
• Experience with manifest filing for both import and export shipments
• Experience with CargoWise is preferred
• Experience with US and EU trade lanes is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good written and spoken English
• A strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
• A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
