About the Role 

As an Operations Engineer you will work closely with all areas of the business to improve time to market and new manufacturing processes. You are a great communicator and relationship builder. You are confident in your abilities and are not afraid to ask the difficult questions. 

You'll become an integral member of the operations engineering team by improving and executing the new product introduction (NPI) process. This involves:

  • Developing a solid understanding of current products and manufacturing practices
  • Collaborating with development and value stream teams
  • Conducting value stream mapping
  • Establishing new manufacturing processes
  • Analysing production and quality data to drive improvements in product design, production processes and capacity.

You will also be involved in product and process design inputs, project and risk management, capacity planning, validation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing is advantage
  • A continuous improvement (CI) mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You would describe yourself as:

  • Results oriented with the ability to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines
  • A team player keen who thrives in a multi-disciplinary team environment and builds strong relationships
  • An effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to implement process and manufacturing documentation
