In this role, you will join the team responsible for monitoring and operating parts of the network that keep businesses and societies connected. This is a role for someone who is skilled at troubleshooting, staying calm under pressure, and want to work hands-on with infrastructure and network services in a 24/7 environment.
What you need to succeed
About the role and the team
You will join our Network Operations Center (NOC) in Uppsala, where we monitor, diagnose, and operate GlobalConnect’s core network across several countries around the clock, all year round. The team works closely with internal specialists, field resources, partners, and customers to ensure stable services and fast handling of incidents.
In this role, you will work across technologies such as IP, MPLS, and WDM, and collaborate with experienced colleagues in a shift-based setup. You will also work with equipment from vendors such as Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, and Extreme.

You are curious, self-motivated, and enjoy solving technical problems in a structured way. You can keep track of several tasks at the same time and stay focused when there's a lot going on. You work well with others, communicate clearly, and contribute positively to the team by sharing knowledge and supporting common ways of working.
Experience with ITIL, relevant technical education, vendor certifications, or additional language skills such as Finnish would be an advantage.
Please note that this role is subject to security clearance, and being able to obtain and maintain that clearance is a requirement for employment.
