Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercial Operations Director to oversee a complex portfolio of Contract Logistics operations across multiple warehouse sites, strategic customer accounts, and fast-paced operational environments.

Reporting to the VP of Contract Logistics, this is a senior opportunity for someone passionate about operational excellence, customer success, safety, and continuous improvement.

About the role:

You will take ownership of multi-site logistics operations, driving high performance across safety, service, productivity, and financial delivery. Supporting large operational teams, you will ensure customer KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved while identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency, and operational transformation.

You will also be responsible for developing customer relationships, leading change programmes, supporting new business opportunities, and driving continuous improvement through technology, automation, and Lean operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing Contract Logistics operations across multiple sites

• Drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement

• Hold full P&L accountability including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin optimisation

• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships across operational and commercial teams

• Deliver KPI and SLA performance through robust governance and data-led decision making

• Develop high-performing operational leadership teams

• Support operational transformation, automation, mobilisations, and growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Proven senior experience within Contract Logistics / 3PL environments

• Strong multi-site operational and P&L management experience

• Track record of delivering operational excellence and safety leadership

• Experience managing complex customer relationships, KPIs, and SLAs

• Strong delivery capability within fast-paced, customer-focused operations
