About the Role

Support the development and execution of data governance and data strategy initiatives. The role enhances data quality, strengthens regulatory reporting readiness, and partners with Technology and business units to improve enterprise data capabilities.
The role partners closely with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and business units to uplift enterprise data capabilities and supports cross functional delivery of data governance and strategy programs. As an individual contributor, the position provides subject matter guidance and ensures disciplined governance practices across Operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

Data Governance & Data Strategy (40%)

  • Oversee end-to-end data lifecycle management.

  • Shape and enhance data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and data stewardship practices.

  • Support development, enhancement, and execution of enterprise-wide data strategy.

  • Support data quality uplift initiatives and data operating model.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.

Data Remediation & Regulatory Reporting (40%)

  • Lead the identification and resolution of data quality issues, collaborating with business and technology counterparts.

  • Drive data remediation efforts to meet regulatory requirements and strengthen data integrity.

  • Enhance data structures and controls for regulatory and management reporting.

  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Operations on critical data oversight.

Cross-Functional Project Leadership (20%)

  • Contribute cross-functional initiatives to enhance data strategy, platforms, processes, and governance controls.

  • Coordinate implementation of data-driven solutions.

  • Maintain clear project governance, dashboards, and executive reporting.

  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making for major data initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data/AI strategy, data governance, data quality, or project governance.
  • Experience with large-scale and complex datasets.
  • Financial services regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, or data management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Hands-on with JIRA, Collibra, Purview, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge in data visualization and data storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High attention to details, data quality and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate technical data concepts into clear messages for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective collaborator across business and technology functions.
  • Collaborative, structured, proactive, and innovative.
