The Operations Cost Analyst provides financial and analytical support to the Operations and Owner Service teams. This role is responsible for assisting with budgeting, expense tracking, reporting, and financial analysis to help ensure operational costs are accurately recorded and aligned with business goals. The analyst works closely with department leaders to monitor spending, identify trends, and support decision-making through clear financial insights.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and track departmental expenses to ensure alignment with budgets
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with variance analysis
• Assist with invoice reviews, coding, and expense approvals to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Analyze operational data to identify cost trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Maintain financial models, trackers, and reporting tools
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical role
• Experience working with financial data and reporting tools
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup formulas
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and timely
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance teams
• Experience with financial systems or ERP platforms (e.g., Concur, SAP)
• Basic understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
