Summary:
This role is an entry-level operations position within Global Product Operations at SEGA of America. It is primarily responsible for PC platform operations across Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, with additional support for console build uploads, deployments, and automation initiatives. The coordinator will manage vendor relationships for anti-piracy solutions, PC hardware compatibility testing, and crash reporting systems. Other duties may be assigned to better support operational needs.
The Operations Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams within GPO, including Submissions, QA, and Digital Ops, as well as cross-functional partners in Production, Development, Marketing, and IT. This position is part of the Platform Operations team within the GPO organization and reports directly to the Manager of PC Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide educational materials to producers for PC development.
- Coordinate with PC vendors regarding DRM, PC compatibility, and related services.
- Support QA projects and PC compatibility testing through completion.
- Code sign PC executables when developers are unable to do so themselves.
- Ensure Handheld Compatibility forms and PC minimum/recommended specifications are completed and properly displayed on storefronts.
- Maintain and update all PC-related and build deployment documentation in the internal wiki.
- Collaborate with Platform Ops to refine sign-off processes for PC submissions.
- Upload and deploy builds for assigned projects, including PC and console builds.
- Perform light build checks to verify basic functionality and identify critical issues before deployment.
- Verify build submission requirements (e.g., DRM confirmation, digital signature) and flag any potential risks.
- Report any technical issues that could impact a title's PC platform release.
- Work closely with the Platform Ops Submissions team and Producers to ensure builds, depots, and sandboxes are properly configured.
- Provide backup support for the Platform Ops Submissions team as needed.
- Other responsibilities are performed as assigned or needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork.  In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:
- - For effective supervision of employees and our work product, which includes ensuring all employees have necessary oversight of their work and access to supervisory assistance, which includes meetings to review work product, deadlines, and status.
- - To foster communication and collaboration among team members, which includes the following: allowing for spontaneous brainstorming sessions and exchanges of ideas, quick access to team members to enable collaborative problem-solving, and stronger cohesion among co-workers and within teams.

- - To enhance understanding of our stakeholders’ work and business needs, facilitate a more seamless and organic workflow, and ultimately increase efficiency and successful outcomes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in game development, project coordination, QA, release management, or similar fields.
- Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple small tasks under deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Comfortable communicating in writing and participating in meetings with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Project managing experience using task tracking and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Asana, or similar.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic technical comfort working on Windows, installing builds, and following step-by-step operational procedures, including understanding of command lines (Command Prompt, PowerShell, etc.).
- Positive, professional, and curious attitude.
- Stays current with the latest developments in games, technology, and market trends.
- Flexible working extended hours.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed; valid passport required (or ability to obtain one).
Bonus:
- Familiarity with one or more platform portals (Steamworks, Epic Games Store Dev Portal, Microsoft Partner Center, DevNet, NDP, etc.)
- Understanding of PC gaming (e.g., hardware, graphics settings, game engines) and familiarity with build packaging and deployment processes.
- Exposure to build systems and automation.
- Familiarity with DRM or anti-piracy.
- Fluent in Japanese.
