Job Description
At Deblock, we are building the first bank onchain: simple, non-custodial, and human. As we launch in New Caledonia, we are looking for our first local hire: an Operations Coordinator who will be our boots on the ground.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will report to the New Caledonia Market Lead and work closely with our central Operations team, making sure our VISA cards get where they need to go, and that we always know exactly how many are being activated, where, and by whom.
👀 What we are looking for
- The "Reliable Doer" Profile: You're organized, dependable, and happy to be out in the field. You take pride in getting things done properly, on time, every time.
- Attention to Detail: Stock counts, delivery logs, activation numbers. You keep clean records, and nothing slips through the cracks.
- Comfortable with Data: You can maintain a tracking spreadsheet, spot when a partner's numbers are dropping, and flag it before it becomes a problem.
- Good with People: You'll be the friendly, professional face of Deblock for our local distribution partners, so clear communication and good relationships matter.
🤩 What will make you stand out
- Local Knowledge: You know Nouméa and the wider territory well and can move around easily (a driver's licence is a strong plus).
- Operations or Retail Experience: A first experience in logistics, stock management, retail operations, or field support.
- Existing Local Relationships: You already know people in local retail or distribution. Even better.
🧑💻 What you'll be working on
- Card Logistics: Receive our VISA card shipments, manage local stock securely, and keep accurate inventory records.
- Partner Distribution: Deliver cards to our local distribution partners, keep each location properly stocked, and organize restocks before partners run out.
- Activation Monitoring (your #1 KPI): Track the number of cards activated by each partner, maintain the reporting dashboard, and share regular updates with the team so we know which partners are performing and which need support.
- Partner Support: Be the day-to-day contact for partners on the ground. Answer their questions, resolve small issues quickly, and escalate anything bigger.
- Field Feedback: Report back what you see and hear locally, from partner feedback to customer questions, and anything that can help us improve.
🤑 What you'll get
- Competitive salary
- The best tech for your job
- 30 days of paid holidays (excl. bank holidays)
- A front-row seat at a fast-growing fintech launching a new market, with real room to grow as we scale in New Caledonia
