Home Health Operations Coordinator

Department: Home Health
Schedule: Full-Time, 80 Hours Biweekly
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Home Health Operations Coordinator is responsible for analyzing and coordinating daily departmental activities to support operational efficiency and achieve established goals. This role provides administrative, clerical, and organizational support to the Home Health team while ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, and effective coordination of departmental functions.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily department activities to support operational objectives and workflow efficiency.
  • Perform a variety of administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties with minimal supervision.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, memos, charts, tables, graphs, presentations, and other departmental documents.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to requests from department staff.
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate ordering to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Organize and coordinate department meetings, events, and special projects.
  • Assist with record keeping, filing, and maintaining departmental documentation.
  • Support communication and collaboration among team members and other departments.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative or coordinator experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Professional customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
