SUMMARY: (entry-level)

Seeking a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator with excellent client service skills to support operations for our regional office in Florida. Responsible for supporting daily operations in multiple departments, including packing, shipping, and receiving, entering consignment property, and assisting otherwise as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process incoming consignments and shipments accurately and efficiently, including:
  • Opening packages, and unpacking contents safely and thoroughly
  • Labeling/tagging and verifying contents of packages
  • Creating and updating electronic reports for the consignment
  • Support and communicate with Consignment Directors throughout the consignment process
  • Communicate with clients as needed during the consignment process
  • Research the status of consignments
  • Pack and ship consigned property appropriately, with extra care in handling fragile and delicate items.
  • May occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Assist in loading and unloading items
  • Comply with office and property security requirements
  • Comply with office operating procedures
  • Assist with local highlights previews, appraisal days, and other events as needed (assist with event logistics such as catering, supplies, furniture rentals)
  • General art handling responsibilities
  • Maintain gallery display space and common areas (i.e. painting and spackling)
  • Perform inventories of consignment material

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of operations or shipping experience; auction experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of logistics

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s License preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Action-oriented with skills and aptitude to excel in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must be highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with all organizational levels
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekend hours when necessary

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Individual must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. During peak periods, there may be mandatory overtime; work extended hours nights and weekends. This position may require overnight travel based on business needs.
