About the Program
The Kiribati Climate Resilient Rural Development (KORAKORA) Program is seeking an organised and motivated Operations Coordinator to join our team in Tarawa. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of a major Australian-funded development program that is helping communities across Kiribati build resilience to climate change while improving food, water and energy security.

Position Details
Location: Tarawa, Kiribati
Contract: Full-time, 24 months with potential extension
Reports to: Operations and Finance Manager
Travel: Domestic travel within Kiribati as required
Position Status: Open to I-Kiribati applicants

About the Role
The Operations Coordinator will provide operational, administrative and organisational support to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the program, including:

  • Procurement and contract management
  • Administrative and office support services
  • Travel, logistics and workshop coordination
  • Human resources administration and recruitment support
  • Asset, records and information management
  • Compliance, risk management and security support

You will work closely with the Operations and Finance Manager and broader program team to maintain high standards of operational efficiency, compliance and service delivery.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • A Diploma (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in procurement, contracting and administration
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation abilities
  • Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English and Kiribati, both written and spoken
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience using data management systems
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's licence
