About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our supportive and friendly Operations team based in Wiri Tyre Recycling Site.

This role plays a key part in keeping our logistics running smoothly by coordinating collections, working closely with customers and transport providers, and helping optimise how our fleet is used.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate tyre collections across multiple regions, ensuring collections are scheduled and completed efficiently
  • Be the key point of contact for customers—particularly across the South Island—to manage collection timings and service requirements
  • Manage and optimise fleet utilisation, helping ensure transport resources are used effectively
  • Plan and refine collection routes to improve efficiency and reduce transport costs
  • Support essential administrative tasks, including invoicing and purchase order (PO) processing
  • Work closely with site teams, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations
  • Proactively identify and resolve scheduling or capacity issues to maintain strong service delivery

Qualifications

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

  • Experience in logistics, transport, operations, or scheduling roles
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and transport providers
  • Ability to coordinate schedules, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple regions
  • Experience with fleet utilisation or route planning (desirable)
  • Solid administrative skills, including invoicing and PO processing
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and operational systems
  • Proactive, organised, and solutions‑focused with good attention to detail
