Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

Legal Entity: Entergy Arkansas, LLC

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.

/Purpose
Responsible for scheduling, assigning, managing and monitoring work of Network construction projects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe execution of distribution projects. The incumbent will provide technical support, oversight, scheduling, monitoring, coordination and management updates for projects within the distribution capital portfolio
  • Ensure all work meets company standards and in service dates, while ensuring that all work practices comply with Entergy's safety guidelines and practices.
  • Have extensive knowledge of the distribution system and be able to prepare and carry out both Energized Work Plans (EWP) and switching orders.
  • Work with Engineering, Vegetation, DOC and other departments in seeing that all facilities are constructed and maintained according to company specifications, standards and policies.
  • Ability to work and communicate with external and internal customers.
  • Availability to work emergency or storm restoration as needed.
  • Managing storm restoration within Region
  • Travel on Management teams for restoration efforts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education and experience required of the position

High School Diploma or equivliveent
Minimum 5 years of experience in related field.

Preferred Distribution construction related experience.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Strong knowledge of computers and related technology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
  • Excellent leadership skills. Strong decision making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and dependable team player.
  • Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards.
  • Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets.
  • Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base.
  • Desired Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement and have the ability to enact change; Ability to lead and participate in problem solving teams as required.
