Job Description

Hydro Extrusions is a world-leading aluminium extrusion business counting around 100 production sites in 40 countries and employing 20,000 people. As an Operations Controller (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role at one of our key production sites. In this high-impact role, you act as a trusted business partner to plant leadership, drive transparency in financial and operational performance, and significantly contribute to steering the site’s success.

Your Responsibilities:

• Act as a key business partner to plant management and contribute to the financial steering and performance of the site.

• Conduct detailed variance analyses, derive actionable recommendations, and support both plant and departmental leadership in strategic and operational decision-making.

• Collaborate closely with central corporate finance and accounting teams as an active member of the controlling function.

• Manage the monthly site reporting, including P&L, Net Operating Capital, and Cash Flow, as well as group reporting responsibilities.

• Prepare investment calculations (Capex), profitability analyses, and ad-hoc evaluations, and follow through on their implementation.

• Identify cost drivers and support Lean and efficiency initiatives.

• Develop and evaluate forecasts, budgets, and multi-year plans for both financial and operational KPIs.

• Drive process optimization and further development of automation and controlling methodologies.

• Lead and contribute to independent projects within Hydro Building Systems, including cross-regional initiatives.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Controlling, Finance, Accounting or similar qualification.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in controlling or finance, ideally within an international manufacturing environment.

• Excellent Excel skills and strong experience with digital tools such as Power BI.

• Experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA FI/CO and HFM is a plus.

• Fluent German and confident English communication skills, both spoken and written.

• Curious, analytical, structured way of working with a strong hands-on mentality and willingness to support colleagues.

• Willingness for regular and increased on-site presence in the press plant to ensure close collaboration with production and plant leadership.
