About the Role

Responsible for managing AIA's relationship with outsourcing vendors and ensuring that the outsourcing vendor's performance meets AIA's requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads overall vendor management for Operations Business Unit in conjunction with local Business Units, Local & Group Sourcing/Procurement teams to create a more collaborative relationships with key 3rd party vendors that aim to uncover and realize new value while reducing risk of
  • Creates a single point of visibility and control to ensure consistency of vendor services and performance in the context of overall Operations Business Unit 3rd Party Vendor/Supplier/Partner Landscape particular to the delivery of Operations SLAs
  • Provides accurate and timely Vendor Contract Management monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to local and Group , where required
  • Maintains a supplier strategy, policy, and contract management information, including establishment, monitoring, and control of Service Level Agreements and Underpinning Contracts, Vendor financial management, credits/penalties and earn backs.
  • Assists the Operations Business Unit in negotiating and agreeing contracts and arrangements where Agreements need to be aligned with business needs and service targets
  • Guides the Operations Business Units in ensuring contracts with external suppliers are negotiated or agreed through established legal, procurement, commercial, or contracts functions of the organization
  • Assists in managing relationships and contracts with external suppliers during planning, designing, building, orchestrating, transitioning, and operating products and services, working closely with procurement and relevant departments
  • Manages supplier performance wherein supplier performance is monitored to ensure that they meet the terms, conditions, and targets of their contracts and agreements, while aiming to increase the value for money obtained from suppliers and the products/services they provide.
  • Establishes and Maintains a robust Supplier Management Database based on applicable new and established procedures, policies, metrics, and department/team requirement, including development and cultivation of new 3rd Party Vendor relationships integral to emerging technologies and solutions
  • Provides recommendations to Operations Business Unit department/project teams on appropriate 3rd Party Vendors for supporting service requirements or new IT Solutions or engagements
  • Ensures establishment & maintenance of Vendor Contract Management knowledge database and continual process improvements and/or innovations using appropriate models & methodologies to effectively and efficiently achieve overall Operations Objectives.
  • Supports the OperationsBusiness Unit Function in other items required to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in:
    • Vendor management and performance monitoring.
    • Contract management and negotiation.
    • Operational process improvement and governance.
  • Experience in outsourced operations, procurement, or large-scale vendor programs is highly valued.
