This role is within Operations Client Service, and you will provide support with primary responsible for high quality data management, ensure timely updates of Client static data and mapping in the respective front to back systems, as well as ensuring adherence to processes and controls.
The role holder will assume a lead role to work closely with Business, Middle Office, Business Operations and Client Onboarding team to ensure a consistent model is followed with respect to this critical reference data.
The role reports to the Head of Client Services - Mizuho Securities Asia.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Day to day oversight and contribution to creation and maintenance of Client account data and mapping within multiple systems across multiple teams.
Ensuring all documented processes are followed correctly.
Identify opportunities for automation and improvement to quality of data and client services levels.
The role holder should be comfortable in a fact paced, multi-tasked environment, be Client focus and have ability to identify and lead the implementation of process improvements.
Ensure Client static are set up correctly and meet local regulatory requirement prior to trading activity.
Create and maintaining Instrument data on the firm’s reference data platform and other applications.
Investigate and clearing STP data exception through the team procedures.
Skills and competencies:
Excellent knowledge in reference data domain (Instrument / Client Data) Management processes within Operations.
Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work across organizations.
Excellent written communications skills – ability to clearly document the current state and recommendations as well as clearly articulate processes and procedures.
Attention to detail.
Data analysis stills – ability to analyse varying data sets and hierarchies, understand the relationship and differentiate the differences.
Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Services, Business processes and Data management.
Having the ability to adapt to a constantly change environment and the ability to problem resolve.
Control focused with strong awareness of Operational risk, supporting the front to back office.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Client and Reference Data Management experience is essential (min. 5-7 years).
Strong Products knowledge including Fixed income, Derivative and Collateral associated system and business processes.
Strong Applications knowledge including Bloomberg TOMS, Markitwire, ICELINK, Murex, GLOSS, Tradeweb and MarketAxess, etc. is a plus.
AML/KYC knowledge is a plus.
Energetic, enthusiastic, positive and proactive.
Ability to think strategically.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables at any one time.
Ability to liaise with business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong communication & negotiation skills.
