Job Title: Operations Business Analyst

The Operations Business Analyst will join our project team and report directly to Operations management. To ensure operations can effectively participate in the transformation of our business administration tools. This role is integral to understanding new solutions and how they integrate and interact with current software. This role will evolve over time, taking on additional duties in phases. This position will be in the Phoenix office, with the possibility to work from home as needed.

Team: Our Operations project team is in Arizona. Team members will need to be able to communicate via Teams, Zoom, email, and in-person. Our company currently offers a hybrid schedule, which could be extended to this role after an initial training period, based on performance. Our Operations team is dedicated to maintaining a collaborative environment and seeks to add a focused, positive, and eager analyst.

Responsibilities and Duties This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

  • Gather and document business requirements from project stakeholders for business processes and/or system(s) under review.
  • Analyze and understand business and system requirements. Design effective training and easily accessible reference materials for operations departments.
  • Document and distribute meeting minutes, workflows, and other documentation to support projects. Prepare educational materials, including documents (cheat sheets), modules, and videos. Revise all material as necessary.
  • Attend vendor training sessions and webinars to gain a strong foundation of the system's set-up and functionality. Work directly with IT to ensure system integrations improve the customer's experience.
  • Work with project stakeholders to create use cases; be able to explain each use case to the vendor.
  • Participate, coordinate, and facilitate testing plans with the business units.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years Business Analyst experience within the insurance industry
  • Extensive experience with Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Forms or Monday.com
