Operations Assistant

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

We are seeking a dedicated logistics professional to join our team in Sri Lanka as an Operations Assistant Could GAC be the next step in your career?

What your day would look like
If appointed, our day will involve preparing and verifying invoices in operational systems, ensuring all required documents and approvals are in place. You will coordinate with internal teams and overseas stakeholders to resolve queries, maintain accurate records, and keep systems up to date. You will also manage communication with customers and suppliers regarding invoices, while supporting the operations team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient daily workflows.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing invoices by checking documentation and approvals.

• Processing and approving invoices using internal systems such as EyeShare and GACFreightnet.

• Maintaining accurate up-to-date records.

• Handling customer and supplier correspondence.

• Providing administrative and operational support to the team.

• Continuously improving your understanding of operational terminology

What we’re looking for

• Basic knowledge in accounting, administration, or a related field.

• Good command of English (written and spoken).

• Strong diligence and accuracy.

• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.

• Willingness to learn new systems and terminology.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Positive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
