Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive, issue review, and process import/export documentation for an assigned base of accounts;
  • Obtain and process Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import accounts to their SOP;

  • Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities;
  • Provide excellent and timely client service by informing the client of the status of their shipment(s);
  • Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required;
  • Ensure that all KPI’s be followed properly;
  • Support check if all data is completed/correct on TMF;
  • Ensure that costs being applied correctly to avoid loss;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance;
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills;
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, Outlook;
  • Knowledgeable of international operations and freight/logistics optimization;
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism;
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Education Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year related experience.

Certification and Licenses

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
