The Associate Director for Operations & Supply Chain within the Precision Fires & Maneuvers (PF&M) organization will play a critical leadership role across the product lifecycle. This leader will help define and execute OSC strategies spanning new business pursuits, bid and proposal activities, development and prototyping, ongoing sustainment, obsolescence management, production execution, and program closeout.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, the ability to influence across multiple product lines and value streams, and effective collaboration with program, engineering, and supply chain partners. The Associate Director will directly lead Material Program Managers and Program Operations Managers across the Raytheon Effectors factory network, ensuring disciplined execution of manufacturing operations and supply chain activities that meet program cost, schedule, and performance goals.

What You Will Do

  • Act as primary OSC interface with internal (program and functional) and external customers ensuring alignment, transparency, and high service standards.

  • Ensure MPM and POM teams have the right people, process, and skills to succeed.

  • Lead OSC proposal strategy including task descriptions, BOEs, supplier strategies, and affordability initiatives.

  • Lead OSC short and long-term cost, schedule, execution planning, forecasting, and productivity.

  • Lead sourcing, capital, and build strategies to ensure program’s ability to deliver more, cheaper, and faster.

  • Lead OSC inputs for all gate reviews to ensure robust Risk and Opp identification and handling plans.

  • Champion and execute process improvements to strengthen OSC’s value proposition across the organization.

  • Lead Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) and Production Readiness Review (PRR) assessments to ensure success during execution.

  • Lead RLPM Production and Material Program Plans and to document and align execution strategies with cross-functional buy-in.

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen in managing budget, schedule, and resource plans.

  • Deliver clear verbal and visual presentations that convey bias for action to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and customers.

  • Ensure cross‑functional collaboration and support escalation efforts to remove barriers, align teams, and achieve program objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.

  • Defense or Aerospace experience in a Supply Chain or Operations role.

  • Experience leading teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Experience managing functional profit and loss.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working with external customers and all levels of internal leadership.

  • Experience with Raytheon Product Lifecycle Management (RLPM).

  • Proven ability to lead cost‑reduction and process‑improvement initiatives.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
