Job Description

Position: Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager

Location: Thailand

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manager to join the team. The O&M Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of company's facilities, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing O&M activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Monitor system performance through digital platforms (e.g., SCADA or IoT-based tools) and identify underperformance or faults.
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of O&M engineers for managing system performance and O&M contractors to ensure timely and efficient resolution of operational issues.
  • Conduct regular team performance evaluations and provide ongoing technical training and guidance. Ensure systems meet budgeted performance.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to oversee system test and commissioning, ensuring all equipment is installed and tested according to company standard.

2.Maintenance Planning:

  • Oversee schedule for preventive maintenance, cleaning, and corrective maintenance activities prepared by O&M engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Optimize maintenance budgets while maintaining high system performance.
  • Establish and maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and system upgrades.

3. Performance Monitoring:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as energy yield, performance ratio, and availability.
  • Identify and address underperforming assets through root cause analysis. Lead engineers and plan O&M contractors to troubleshoot accordingly.

4.Contractor Management:

  • Evaluate contractor performance and recommend changes or improvements to ensure operational excellence.
  • Seek out new O&M contractors, manage RFQ and technical requirements, manage annual contractor bidding and generate Deal Evaluation report for Head of Asset Management.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to agreed service levels, safety protocols, and quality standards during maintenance tasks.

5.Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors and internal parties.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and maintain strong, professional relationships to ensure satisfaction and trust
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Asset Management regarding operational and maintenance status.

6.Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities and system performance metrics.
  • Prepare detailed operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of PV system operations and maintenance practices.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and external contractors.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using asset management and monitoring tools.
  • Good English communication skills; via phone, email and chat.
