Job Description

Details of the Division and Team:

Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Corporate Actions, Securities Settlements, Account Management, and Static Data maintenance for custody clients across domestic and foreign markets.

The role includes handling operational processes, supporting client reporting requirements, ensuring strong control standards, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The individual is also expected to proactively manage queries, monitor exceptions, and escalate operational risks as appropriate.

The role is also expected to leverage digital tools and AI-enabled solutions , where appropriate, to enhance productivity, improve data accuracy, and support process efficiency while ensuring compliance with internal governance and data protection standards.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Corporate Actions Processing

  • Monitor and process Corporate Action events (mandatory and voluntary), including announcement capture, entitlement, and instruction processing

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of event processing across systems

  • Prepare and review client reporting, including entitlement reports, event summaries, and meeting results

  • Support related cash and FX processing for Corporate Actions where applicable

  • Handle queries related to Corporate Actions events and provide timely responses

  • Utilise automation / AI-assisted tools (e.g. data extraction, reconciliation support) to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processing where feasible

2. Securities Settlements

  • Process and monitor securities settlements (DVP/RVP/FOP), including trade validation and status updates

  • Perform trade matching, exception handling, and investigation of settlement breaks

  • Monitor failed or unmatched trades and ensure timely resolution

  • Prepare settlement-related reports, including cash projection and trade status reports

  • Support FX processing linked to settlement transactions where required

  • Apply data analytics / AI-supported insights to support exception monitoring and reporting accuracy

3. Account Management & Static Data

  • Maintain static data including account setup, client reference data, and settlement instructions

  • Support account opening, maintenance, and closure processes across internal and market systems

  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy

  • Prepare supporting data for billing and reconciliation activities

  • Leverage automation and digital tools to improve data quality and streamline maintenance processes

4. Client Servicing & Reporting

  • Respond to client queries in a timely and accurate manner

  • Prepare and review standard and ad-hoc client reports

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Technology, Compliance) and external parties (clients, agents, market infrastructures)

  • Ensure timely delivery of all reporting obligations

  • Use AI-enabled tools where appropriate to support reporting preparation, data summarisation, and communication drafting, in line with internal policies

5. Controls, Risk & Compliance

  • Perform maker-checker controls (4-eyes principle) on critical processes

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and audit standards

  • Identify, monitor and escalate operational risks, exceptions, and control breaks

  • Maintain proper documentation and support audit requirements

  • Ensure responsible and compliant use of AI/tools , including adherence to data confidentiality, model governance, and audit requirements

6. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify process gaps and inefficiencies and support automation initiatives

  • Participate in system enhancements and operational improvement projects

  • Support standardisation and optimisation of operational processes

  • Actively contribute to AI and digital adoption initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort

Your skills and experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in custody operations, securities settlements, corporate actions, or asset servicing

  • Good understanding of custody operations processes (Corporate Actions, Settlements, Static Data)

  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders

  • Good English communication (written and spoken)

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage high volumes of tasks

  • Strong attention to detail with a control-focused mindset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools

  • Basic awareness of AI/digital tools (e.g. data analytics tools, workflow automation, AI assistants) with willingness to adopt new technologies responsibly
