Job Description

The Operations Analyst plays a key role in connecting our Sales, Finance, PMO, and Services teams to ensure projects are accurately planned, tracked, and delivered. This role provides visibility into project performance, services backlog, budgets, and operational metrics while supporting process improvements that drive efficiency and business growth.

As part of the Consulting Operations team, you'll work closely with Practice Directors, Project Managers, Revenue Managers, and Sales partners to maintain accurate project data, manage operational workflows, monitor milestones and budgets, and identify opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, improving processes, and collaborating across teams to support informed business decisions.

Job Description Summary

The Operations Analyst plays a key role in connecting our Sales, Finance, PMO, and Services teams to ensure projects are accurately planned, tracked, and delivered. This role provides visibility into project performance, services backlog, budgets, and operational metrics while supporting process improvements that drive efficiency and business growth.

As part of the Consulting Operations team, you'll work closely with Practice Directors, Project Managers, Revenue Managers, and Sales partners to maintain accurate project data, manage operational workflows, monitor milestones and budgets, and identify opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, analyzing data, improving processes, and collaborating across teams to support informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the services backlog by practice and delivery group, ensuring accurate project setup, closure, status tracking, and data integrity.
  • Monitor operational performance and partner with Project Managers and Operations leaders to identify risks, resolve issues, and support successful project execution.
  • Support project lifecycle activities including project creation, project plan maintenance, milestone tracking, and project closeout activities.
  • Analyze project, operational, and financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Monitor budgets, milestones, schedule changes, and project health indicators while proactively addressing potential risks.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with Practice Directors, Project Managers, Revenue Managers, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on project scope, budgets, timelines, and revenue recognition activities.
  • Proactively identify and implement data improvements, reporting enhancements, and system customizations that support business requirements.
  • Participate in or lead operational process design, implementation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure leaders and stakeholders remain informed on key priorities and initiatives.
  • Assess operational challenges and develop solutions that improve productivity, quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Effective and efficient communication skills and be able to organize, prioritize and schedule a high workload
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences

Preferred

  • Experience with operational analysis including data collection, reporting, and analytics
  • Experience working with project budgets, forecasting, or financial reporting
  • Experience using reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM/project management platforms
  • Experience supporting process improvement, workflow optimization, or operational initiatives
