Job Description

The Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting daily operations across the shipyard, with a focus on crane metrics, assessments, procedure and work order preparation, and inventory support. Will work closely with directors, managers, supervisors, planners and work crews to identify areas of improvement in efficiency, quality and training. Operations Analyst is responsible for collecting and reviewing operational data, preparing reports and helping translate the data into actionable items. The role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in an industrial environment, proficient in computer skills and can effectively communicate with all levels of the D507 organization.

  • Maintain Surveillance program
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data and issue monthly metric reports
  • Conduct surveillances and audits
  • Submit funding requests for capital projects
  • Write and review maintenance procedures and work orders
  • Support trades in the use of computer maintenance management systems
  • Oversee vendors
  • Assist in planning maintenance, repairs and upgrades for cranes
  • Spare parts inventory and maintenance

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2+ years of analytical/data collecting experience

Preferred:

  • Associates degree or higher in finance, business, manufacturing or computer skills
  • Familiar with CMMS programs - Corrigo and Maximo
  • Experience in surveillance programs
  • Experience in metrics development and data management

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, data tracking and reporting tools
  • Available to work any shift and willing to work overtime
