Job Description

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) support youth and community services through contracts with community-based organizations throughout New York City. DYCD Youth Services, encompassing programs such as BEACON, COMPASS , CORNERSTONE, RHY, SNL, and CACFP programming, seeks to support community-based organizations high quality after school services through funding, monitoring, coaching, capacity, evaluation and advocacy.

DYCD Youth Services is seeking an Operations Analyst to join the Youth Services Operations Team. The Youth Services Operations Team offers specialized support and guidance to the entire Youth Services initiative with facility set-up and licensing, policy development, contract compliance and performance, data analysis and interpretation, unit operations and efficiencies, system overview and enhancements and communication to contracted providers.

The Operations Analyst will focus on developing data-driven operational tools, processes, and workflows to support both internal and external partners in strengthening Youth Services programming, reporting, and analytics. The Operations Analyst will report to the Deputy Director of Operations & Analytics within the Youth Services Operations Unit. Key Tasks include:

- Develop and enhance Youth Services Operations datasets and systems, utilizing all available resources
to proactively design and deploy workflows to optimize Operational processes.

- Collect, format, and analyze complex data to identify trends and relationships, summarizing findings into
actionable insights.

- Communicate with contractors to address questions, clarify policies & contract requirements, provide
technical assistance, and coordinate on special projects.

- Collaborate with specialized teams in the Youth Services Operations unit to provide data analytics
support for day-to-day functions and special projects in service of DYCD Youth Services and/or other
city initiatives.

- Review contract and performance-related documents and data, ensuring provider compliance with
contractual and programmatic requirements.

- Complete performance reports, data requests, and other related documents and submit them to
supervisor within the prescribed contract deadlines.

- Identify and document deficiencies, outlining clear recommendations and next steps for resolution.

- Monitor and review program/agency submission of required information, documentation, and data
entry.

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
