Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Is expected to have medium to strong skills in Word and Excel
  • Highly Organized: Possesses exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail to identify and resolve issues promptly and thoroughly
  • Strong Leadership: Demonstrates strong will and confidence in driving actions and motivating others, while fostering constructive and collaborative working relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Optimal procurement and sourcing - Anything procured to maintain and operate the fleet and warehouse falls within the scope for the individual to improve on
  • Some aspects include uniforms, Protective Personal Equipment, tools of trade, packaging etc
  • Facilities Management - ensuring that the warehouse/s are well maintained and upgraded as required (e.g. backup power and solar installations)
  • Optimal sourcing of vehicles
  • Supplier contract reviews which includes looking through legal contracts for any terms worthy of escalation
  • Monthly billing reconciliations - This includes reviewing the fuel spend, courier transactions for the month. Importantly, managing the process of credits from or claims on suppliers where relevant
  • Master data management - The role will need to ensure that the master data is accurate across the various platforms
  • Health and Safety - The role is required to ensure that the checks and balances associated with health and safety are complied with. Some of these aspects, the person does themself, while others, the person ensures that the checklists are being completed by others
