Elections Alberta is an independent, non-partisan office of the Legislature. Elections Alberta is responsible for administering provincial elections, by-elections and referenda. As the primary support in election operations, the Operations Administrator is involved in all aspects of provincial election administration. The Operations Assistant participates in a variety of projects related to the planning, managing and delivery of electoral events, improvement of election processes, and related activities.
This position supports the appropriate application of legislation, policy, technology, and procedures in electoral administration to ensure sound decision-making in the service of Alberta’s political participants including candidates and voters. The Operations Assistant will respond to inquiries from the public regarding electoral events and associated processes. This position will also provide administrative support for various departments and coverage to reception when required.
