About Us

Join us at Cleanaway and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together.

We transform waste into resources and renewable energy. When you start to think of waste as a resource, it opens a world of possibilities.

As a high growth, ASX listed organisation with over 10,000 employees, our goal is to be recognised by our customers as the most innovative and sustainable waste management company with industry leading HSE performance. We are Australia’s largest company in this sector, providing essential services to millions of customers and communities nationally.

The Opportunity

Join a national leader in hazardous waste management and resource recovery, where safety, compliance and sustainability sit at the heart of everything we do.

We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Operations Administration Officer to join our high-performing Oils and Technical Services team based in Laverton. This role is critical to keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting a busy and fast-paced environment that delivers essential services across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our operations are safe, compliant, and efficient. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Coordinating with transport schedulers and internal stakeholders to ensure jobs are executed on time and in line with compliance requirements
  • Generating waste tracking documentation via the EPA portal, along with collection dockets (JDE) and chemical labelling
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and compliance
  • Raising and managing operational orders, with a strong focus on accurate and efficient administration

About You

You enjoy working in a structured, fast-paced operational environment and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality administrative support.

You’ll bring:

  • A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to environmental and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in operations, logistics, transport coordination or similar (waste/chemical exposure highly regarded)
  • Clear communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, operators, and internal teams
  • Experience using ERP or transport systems (JDE highly regarded)
  • Familiarity with Coupa P2P and the Victorian EPA waste tracking portal (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role
  • Due to the location, you must have your own transport, as public transport is not easily accessible

Why Cleanaway?
You’ll be part of a business that’s committed to sustainability and doing things the right way. We’ll support you with the tools and training you need, and you’ll be surrounded by a team that values growth, collaboration, and celebrating success.

What’s in it for You

  • Competitive salary package
  • Autonomy and flexibility to own your role and make a real impact
  • The chance to be part of a dynamic, growing Australian business, working alongside a motivated and supportive team
  • Access to a comprehensive benefits program, including novated leasing, salary sacrificing options, and private health insurance discounts

Our Process

Our recruitment process involves a number of checks including, but not limited to, criminal history, medicals, drug & alcohol testing, as well as verification of qualifications, licences and right-to-work status.
