Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to our warehouse and or delivery departments. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Regular attendance and reliability are a priority.

Primary Responsibilities

  • The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
    • Assist Operations Leaders with various administrative tasks.
    • Coordinate scheduling of inbound and outbound vendor shipments to ensure workflow accuracy.
    • Maintain and report accurate data on scheduling, inbound documentation, supplier pickups, supplier returns and Receiving compliance using MS Office and WMS software.
    • Maintain accurate inbound and outbound information.
    • Interact with vendors and Supply Chain Leaders to update or change the workflow in the distribution center.
    • Maintain administration files and filing system, ensuring that are filed in a neat orderly, and accurate manner.
    • Help maintain the ordering of office supplies when needed.
    • Interact with various corporate departments to assist with individual service needs, including but not limited to inbound customer service, compliance, and supply requests.
    • Assist in coordinating special events and meetings to secure locations and food within discretion.
    • Perform essential office functions such as answering telephone calls, emails, filing, faxing, copying, ordering office supplies, and preparing correspondence.
    • All duties described in this document will be performed in keeping with the core values and service attributes consistent with Columbia Distributing.
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typically working hours are Monday -- Friday, between 8am and 5pm.

Local travel only

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in an office and retail environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation

  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
