Collinsville Open Cut is Queensland’s oldest existing coal mine, with a long history of producing quality metallurgical and thermal coal for export markets. Located approximately 160 km from Airlie Beach in North Queensland, the operation combines the experience of an established mine with a workforce focused on getting the job done safely and effectively. Reporting to the Engineering and Planning Superintendent, we are seeking an experienced Operational Technology Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This multifaceted, site-based role will monitor and maintain the health of onsite OT networks and work with external vendors to ensure these systems operate efficiently and reliably.
To succeed, you will hold a relevant trade qualification and/or tertiary engineering qualification, supported by practical experience in network design and management. You will have experience in mining OT, fleet management, dispatch, automation, communications, or industrial-control systems.
Knowledge of IT networking and system administration is desirable. Experience with Modular Mining, Caterpillar MineStar, Hexagon, Mineware, Wenco, or similar dispatch platforms is highly regarded. Experience with SCADA, PLCs, industrial Ethernet or wireless networks, Windows/Linux systems, OT cybersecurity, and data-analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Excel will be advantageous. You will be safety-foused, able to troubleshoot under operational pressure, and confident communicating with operators, dispatchers, supervisors, suppliers, and technical teams.
