Your new role

An exciting opportunity for a Opertational Support Team Lead to join our Manufacturing team. This is a hands‑on position, leading and supervising an Operations Support Team to ensure that high standards and full GMP compliance are consistently maintained in accordance to standard operating procedures.

This is shift-based position, working early & late shifts between Wednesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering on-the-floor support to manufacturing, including performing controlled cleaning of laboratories, clean room facility and equipment and disposing of biological laboratory waste.

• Ensuring all materials required for manufacturing are transferred into the facility on time.

• Recording activities and data, ensuring GMP logbooks are reviewed and kept up-to-date.

• Ordering PPE and Kanban materials, liaising with contractors and Supply Chain to ensure stock levels are maintained.

• Ensure all team members are fully trained for their responsibilities and review/sign off their personal training records.

• Performing other tasks as reasonably expected by the Senior Operational Support Technician.

About you

• Proven experience in line management, with the ability to lead, support, and develop a team effectively.

• Hands-on experience in a cGMP cleanroom environment or a similar regulated, controlled setting.

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements, including safe chemical handling.

• Good IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships.

• Excellent organisational and planning abilities, able to manage priorities, plan ahead, and consistently deliver to deadlines.

• Adaptable and flexible approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and short-term business needs.

Qualifications

• A HNC in Life Sciences or a related subject. We will also consider applicants with equivalent training and experience.
