About the NSW Passenger Project:

UGL Transport is looking for an experienced and motivated Operational Support Manager to join our NSW Passenger team supporting one of Australia's newest passenger rail fleets.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly influential role where you will partner with customers, operational leaders and technical specialists to drive operational performance, continuous improvement and exceptional customer outcomes.

The Opportunity:

As the Operational Support Manager, you will provide leadership across key governance, reporting, customer engagement and change management functions. You will also play an integral role in supporting the ongoing success of the Mariyung Fleet while helping deliver safe, reliable and efficient rail services for customers across New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational governance and customer reporting activities.
  • Manage customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee incident reporting and attribution management processes.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support strategic projects, Engineering Change Requests and business enhancements.
  • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, operational and project teams to achieve performance objectives.


About You:

  • Rail and passenger transport
  • Operations leadership
  • Asset management
  • Maintenance management
  • Service delivery
  • Engineering support
  • Logistics or other complex operational environments


You will also bring:

  • Passionate leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience influencing outcomes across diverse teams.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • The ability to drive collaboration, accountability and positive change.
  • Prepare and review HSSE documentation to ensure legislative and procedural requirements are met.
  • Assist in managing return-to-work programs and injury management processes.
  • Design and deploy safety culture change initiatives.
  • Monitor and review safety risk profiles of contracts and projects to identify areas for improvement.
