As the Operational resilience and Outsourcing based in Vaduz, you will be responsible for overseeing COO activities, including leading projects, ensuring outsourcing oversight and performing business risk management (BRM). The Operational resilience and Outsourcing manager will report directly to the CFO/COO of EFG Bank von Ernst.

The main tasks of the Operational resilience and Outsourcing manager – COO area:

  • Lead or contribute to strategic and regulatory projects impacting EFG Bank von Ernst, acting as the key contact person for group-wide initiatives.
  • Drive the optimization of front-office and back-office processes by implementing group-wide digitalization and IT enhancement initiatives.
  • Direct and oversee internal and external outsourcing providers and ICT vendors, ensuring full compliance with EEA regulatory requirements, including DORA; act as the designated outsourcing manager for all third-party and intra-group contracts within the Bank.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of COO activities, including Operations, IT, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) executed by the Group COO function.
  • He/she is accountable for the design, implementation and development of a comprehensive and robust risk and control framework within the Chief Operating Officer (COO) function in Liechtenstein aligned with Group standards.
  • identify the key risks associated to the COO processes and design the required mitigating controls, ensuring adherence to internal regulations, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Analyze root causes of operational risk incidents and identify corrective measures
  • Serve as deputy to the Head of Operations, with responsibility for day-to-day operational activities, including security transfers, corporate actions, and execution of financial instruments.
  • Actively engage in working groups convened by the Liechtenstein Banking Association to remain current on regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Skills and experience

The Operational resilience and Outsourcing manager will demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • Minimum five years of professional experience, ideally within a financial institution; experience with project management is a strong advantage.
  • Strong team player with outstanding communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Motivated, flexible, and well-organized.
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and willing to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
