The Operations Readiness Lead- Autonomy is responsible for supporting the smooth transition of projects from construction and design into operational phases. This role focuses on preparing systems, processes, and teams to ensure readiness for production, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational goals. Reporting to the Automation Tech Project Manager or a similar leader, the Operations Readiness Lead works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve readiness objectives.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience), plus 2+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, or heavy industry/mining roles.
Project & Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum), operational readiness concepts, and the project lifecycle.
Technical & Digital Skills: Proficiency with enterprise systems/ERPs (e.g., SAP), data integration, automation, digital transformation trends, and standard productivity tools (MS Office, Jira, Trello, MS Project).
Process Improvement: Hands-on experience applying continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate, lead, and mentor across multidisciplinary teams.
Problem Solving & Organization: Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Work Environment Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to fast-paced environments, work flexible hours as needed, and conduct site visits in challenging industrial conditions (e.g., extreme temperatures, noise, confined spaces).
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Expertise: Experience with autonomous haulage systems (AHS) or industrial mine sites.
Specialized Experience: Exposure to commissioning, testing, process improvements, or operational readiness activities.
EHS Compliance: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
