Operational Material Management Leader IGT-S

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to make sure Philips can always deliver its image guided therapy systems to hospitals and patients, by securing uninterrupted material availability across the complete product lifecycle.

You are responsible for

• Owning the global Operational Material Management organization and end-to-end material availability, from suppliers through manufacturing until customer shipment. You lead shortage management and escalation governance, so production and service requirements are never interrupted.
• Owning lifecycle execution for all released products: Last Time Buy, End of Life, End of Production, discontinuations, manufacturing transfers and material phase-in/phase-out. Every lifecycle decision balances customer continuity, financial impact, inventory, risk and regulatory compliance.
• Leading the operational implementation of engineering changes, BOM and supplier changes, manufacturing process changes, new supplier introductions and material qualifications, driving flawless execution with R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Planning.
• Developing proactive strategies to secure material availability, covering critical material governance, allocation management, semiconductor strategy, long lead-time mitigation, buffer strategy and build assurance. You own the recovery plans for all critical shortages.
• Leading our operational supply resilience capability, including Time to Recover, Time to Survive, supplier risk mitigation, dual sourcing deployment, critical part governance and business continuity planning, in close partnership with Procurement and Supplier Engineering.
• Owning component inventory performance, balancing customer service, cash, risk and obsolescence through safety stock governance, excess and obsolete reduction, slow moving inventory management and Last Time Buy optimization.
• Leading a global team of OMM Managers, Lifecycle Managers and Engineers and Transformation Manager, and driving the digital and AI transformation of the function through predictive shortage analytics, digital control towers, SAP S/4HANA, Power BI and automation.

You are a part of

The Integrated Supply Chain organization of Philips Image Guided Therapy Systems in Best, the Netherlands, reporting to the IGT-S ISC Planning Leader. Operational Material Management is the operational nerve center connecting Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics and the business. We work globally as one team, with a culture built on accountability, collaboration, customer focus and continuous improvement.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
• 12 to 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, operational material management, planning, procurement or manufacturing operations, including experience in a highly regulated industry such as medical devices, healthcare, aerospace or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP/S4HANA, advanced planning systems and analytics tools such as Power BI and Power Platform, with demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation and digitalization programs.
• Proven experience leading global teams in a complex matrix organization, with strong executive communication, crisis leadership and the ability to influence without authority.
• Strategic and systems thinking, a customer-first and data-driven mindset, and a track record in change leadership, coaching and talent development.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

How we work together

This is an office role, based in Best, the Netherlands, with global responsibility. This means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Compensation & benefits

Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is €93.049 – €155.081 Gross including holiday allowance. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.

This role is eligible for maximum 6% bonus, with your rewards linked to KPIs/company results. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision. Benefits include:
