The Position:
Reporting to the VP Critical Operations ICT System (APAC).
The focus of this role is to be responsible for managing deployment and maintaining the ICT OT infrastructure in Tokyo/Japan.
This will include all aspects of OT systems including BMS/EPMS Applications, Data Centre ICT and Security Applications ensuring system performance, infrastructure, information management and security. ICT related solution designs will be aligned to the long-term strategic goals of the organisation, leveraging cloud services where practical, and keeping pace with changes and trends in technology.

Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and design technical infrastructure solutions that align with the STACK APAC business and technology objectives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse technical requirements and constraints for infrastructure projects.
- Ensure that infrastructure solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for data protection and regulatory requirements.
- You will be expected to manage internal or external resources) that oversees the installation and configuration of new hardware and software, as well as upgrades and migrations. As this is a very hands-on role, you will be required to implement these as well.
- Implements and maintains security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Ensures that the infrastructure complies with relevant Stack infrastructure regulations and standards.
- Ensure that infrastructure solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for data protection and regulatory requirements. To consult Stack APAC Cybersecurity SME as required.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues, providing support and expertise when needed.
- Managing OT related system alerts. All issues shall be checked and investigated to ensure OT system uptimes. This may require working with external MSPs for more complex issues.
- Recommend and execute improvements and solutions. Provide a clear resource planning and timeline for all OT related improvement projects. List and resource plans shall be fortnightly.
- Managing and following up on Service Desk Tickets (OT related ones only) to ensure smooth operation of infrastructure systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing support to end-users using OT systems.
- Managing on site changes and development of MOP for all OT related matters with the critical operations team and providing updates to the VP-OT during and when the change is completed. This will include documentation and reviewing with VP-OT and other APAC SME for approval.
- This role is a very hands-on approach role, and being an all-rounder is essential.
- Tracking all IT Equipment in the DC space and logging them with the warranty status in
- FreshService CMMS.
- Understanding Warranty support on all maintained assets and renewal budget planning.
- Maintaining tools and critical spare parts where necessary and keeping track within ITSM.
- Provide 24/7 support during rostered on-call shifts for Severity 1/2/3 outages
Key Details:
Location: Inzai-city Chiba / Tokyo, Japan.
Travel: 10-15%.
Language: Native Japanese; Secondary English (Business Level - Spoken & Written).
Must-have Qualifications / Experience:
- High level technical knowledge and expertise in the management of IT systems.

- Scripting – PowerShell,
- Microsoft Windows Server Technologies 2016-2022.
- BMS & CCTV understanding.
- Advanced networking skills including working in a multi-site SD-WAN environment.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Confident and effective communication skills.
