WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US

The Operational Excellence WorkDay Lead is a senior individual contributor within People & Culture (P&C), serving as the strategic and operational link between P&C and IT. The role combines deep expertise in HR processes, service delivery, governance, Workday, HRIS solutions, and project delivery.

Its main purpose is to translate P&C needs into scalable, compliant, and efficient Workday‑enabled solutions, lead their implementation, and drive ongoing HR process optimization. As the primary Point of Contact for P&C stakeholders, the Lead Consultant ensures clear articulation, prioritization, and delivery of business requirements in close collaboration with IT and the P&C and Solutions & Technology teams.

The role also supports the Global People Service Delivery Director in coordinating the Solutions & Technology team, prioritizing the Workday enhancement roadmap, and ensuring accountable, timely delivery of improvements across the platform.

This position is ideal for HRIS/Workday professionals who want to remain close to technology and projects while shaping end‑to‑end P&C processes and strengthening operational excellence.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Bridge Between P&C and IT

  • Act as main liaison between P&C, IT and Solutions & Technology
  • Translate P&C needs into Workday requirements
  • Align stakeholders on scope, risks and feasibility
  • Serve as primary POC for Workday-related requests

Workday & HRIS Ownership

  • Lead Workday design, configuration and continuous improvements
  • Drive enhancements across Core HCM, Compensation, Performance, Reporting
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate fixes with IT and partners
  • Ensure alignment with global P&C processes and governance
  • Support data quality, reporting and analytics

Operational Excellence

  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability and compliance
  • Simplify, standardize and automate P&C processes
  • Apply Lean/Agile/continuous improvement methods
  • Maintain SOPs, standardized processes and governance
  • Ensure compliance with controls, audits and regulations

Project & Change Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional Workday and P&C process projects
  • Manage timelines, risks and stakeholder expectations
  • Support change management and adoption
  • Provide regular updates to leadership

Workday Roadmap Ownership

  • Own and prioritize the Workday enhancements roadmap
  • Partner with the Global People Service Delivery Director
  • Balance operational, strategic and technical needs
  • Ensure transparent and accountable delivery

Team & Capability Support

  • Support coordination of the Solutions & Technology team
  • Role‑model operational excellence and quality
  • Mentor team members on Workday, processes and project practices
  • Foster collaboration across P&C, IT, Finance and other functions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in HR, Business, IT, Operations or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years in HRIS, Workday, Operational Excellence or HR transformation
  • Hands-on Workday implementation, configuration or continuous improvement experience
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, service delivery and global HR operations
  • Solid project management across multiple workstreams
  • Experience in cross‑functional, global environments
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods
