As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the Biomat area and the end-to-end flow across multiple functional areas within the framework of the Project Lliçà

Role Mission

To lead and drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and project management initiatives, promoting process optimization, waste elimination, standardization of best practices, and enhanced operational performance.

The successful candidate will act as a key contributor in the planning, coordination, monitoring, and communication of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across all involved functions and facilitating the successful execution of transformation and improvement projects that deliver business value.

You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, and other business areas to identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions that increase productivity, quality, efficiency, and internal and external customer satisfaction.

What your responsibilities will be

  • Lead and coordinate Biomat workstreams related to the implementation of the new Plasma Logistics Center (PLC).
  • Plan, organize and monitor project activities, ensuring alignment of timelines, milestones, deliverables, resources and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Drive process improvement, standardization, digitalization and Operational Excellence initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and ensure appropriate mitigation and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare and communicate project status updates, KPIs, governance materials and executive reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP requirements, quality standards and applicable regulatory expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support change management and project porfolio initiatives, promoting successful implementation and sustainable adoption of new processes and ways of working.
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams and help drive alignment, accountability and execution discipline across the project.
  • Support change management activities to enable successful implementation and adoption of the future processes and ways of working.
  • Manage and/or contribute to other projects within the Biomat project porfolio, as required, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operational excellence standards and quality requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of the Operational Excellence strategy and support broader business transformation initiatives.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced level of English, Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, PMO, Project Management, Process Excellence, or similar roles in industrial or regulated environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; knowledge of Power BI, Minitab, Tableau, MS Project, Smartsheet, and similar analytical tools is a plus
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects, process improvement initiatives, and organizational transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and project management principles.
  • Experience in project planning, coordination, governance, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GxP regulated environments is a plus.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management, or PMO certifications are a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels.
