The Impact You Will Make
The Operational Excellence (OpEx) Professional supports the organization’s continuous improvement efforts by analyzing processes, identifying waste and variation, and executing improvement projects using Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. The role partners with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, while helping build standard work and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities through process observation, data analysis, and stakeholder input; document current-state process flows and pain points.

• Support or lead small-to-medium improvement projects using Lean / Six Sigma tools.

• Facilitate or co-facilitate Kaizen events and improvement workshops; help teams implement and sustain countermeasures.

• Monitor implemented changes and recommend adjustments to ensure improvements stick (control plans, visual management, process confirmation).

• Establish and maintain dashboards or KPI tracking for improvement initiatives; analyze trends and communicate progress to stakeholders.

• Document project results and support validation of benefits (time savings, scrap reduction, throughput, service level, cost reduction).

• Support development and adoption of standard work, visual management, and daily management routines (e.g., tier meetings, escalation).

• Provide training and guidance to teams on basic continuous improvement concepts and tools; reinforce CI ways of working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent practical experience).

• 2+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, process improvement, or CI/OpEx-related roles (varies by organization).

• Hands-on experience applying Lean tools and structured problem solving in a team environment.

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt
