Job description Job Title FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE MANAGER M/F Contract Type PERMANENT Job Location Africa, Tanzania, United Republic of, DAR ES SALAAM Education LevelMaster or equivalent Working Hours Full time Mission Description The OpEx Manager's goal is to drive Operational Excellence within his or her organization. Reporting to the MD and member of executive committee. He/She will focus on increasing the organization's OpEx maturity, delivering real results and contributing to the company's operational strategy. Profile Responsibilities include:

• Build a register of issues to be addressed in the organization and assess the impact of potential projects.
• Prioritize and plan OpEx projects, define methodologies according to issues, allocate resources to projects.
• Build a network of OpEx partners to multiply the number of projects and actions the organization can undertake.
• Develop "day-to-day OpEx" skills (visual management, operational standards, problem solving) of operations managers through training and coaching.
• Gradually train all employees at the right level to support culture change.
• Provide day-to-day coaching for improvement projects and other ongoing OpEx actions and directly lead critical projects.
• Mobilize the executive committee to prioritize actions in line with the strategy and drive executive committee involvement on the shop floor.
• Communicate and raise awareness of Operational Excellence initiatives (e.g. Gemba tour, Kazen challenges)
• Draw inspiration from improvement initiatives implemented across other AGL subsidiaries and capitalize on actions undertaken within AGL Tanzania to share with the AGL Group ExOp community.

SKILLS

• Strong operational excellence experience in any sector
• Proven track record of successful applications of Lean methods and tools
• Experience in strategically deploying operational excellence within a site or a

company

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification desirable
• Proven leadership skills; ability to persuade and mobilize at all levels
• Strong field orientation and results orientation
• Knowledge of logistics and shipping operations is a plus
