Job Responsibilities :

This role will manage day-to-day AML/CFT compliance operations and support broader regulatory compliance across our regulated financial services business. Responsibilities span regulatory liaison and reporting, build customer screening and transaction monitoring processes, policy and controls maintenance. The role reports to the Head of Risk & Compliance, working closely day-to-day with the relevant business unit.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking for a Compliance Officer to manage day-to-day AML/CFT compliance operations and support broader regulatory compliance for our business. This role covers customer screening, policy and controls maintenance and regulatory liaison and reporting.

  • Support day-to-day operational compliance monitoring, ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Draft, review, and maintain compliance policies, procedures and internal controls documentation.
  • Support AML/CFT and sanctions screening, customer due diligence and transaction monitoring processes.
  • Coordinate regulatory returns, periodic reporting and responses to regulator queries or examinations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the business and assess operational impact.
  • Act as day-to-day liaison with BNM and other relevant authorities on compliance matters, including supporting regulatory license applications or renewals as and when required.
  • Support audit and regulatory examination engagements.
  • Partner with business units to embed compliance requirements into day-to-day operations.
  • Deliver AML/CFT training and compliance awareness sessions to operational staff.

Requirements

  • At least 6 –7 years' experience in compliance, risk, or regulatory affairs within financial services (banking, payments or other regulated industries).
  • Experience with Money Services Business (MSB) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AML/CFT and sanctions screening requirements.
  • Strong regulatory liaison, policy drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • ICA/ACAMS certification an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
