dormakaba Bulgaria is looking for an Operational Buyer (MTO).

Make-to-Order Procurement Execution
- Manage end-to-end procurement of MTO components based on confirmed production and sales orders.
- Create, update, and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
- Closely monitor order confirmations, lead times, and delivery commitments.
- Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery aligned with production schedules
Supplier Coordination & Expediting
- Maintain daily communication with suppliers regarding order status, technical clarifications, and delivery timelines.
- Expedite urgent or critical orders to prevent production interruptions.
- Escalate potential delays and propose mitigation actions
Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Sales to clarify technical specifications and order requirements.
- Review and understand technical drawings and documentation (technical knowledge preferred).
- Ensure alignment between customer requirements, production planning, and supplier capabilities
Reporting & Process Control
- Maintain accurate procurement data and documentation.
- Provide regular status updates on critical orders to relevant stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement and order tracking processe
Compliance & Team Contribution
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Contribute to departmental objectives and support team performance.
An experience that matters: Your skills
- 2+ years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or make-to-order environment.
- Experience working with technical components or engineered parts is strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of production processes and supply chain flow in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures and supplier order management.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders with varying lead times.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional and supplier interaction.
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive risk management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
