About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational executive assistant to join ourselves as an Operational and Projects Senior Executive to provide full operational and executive support to the Chief Operating Officer.
This role supports the effective running of senior leadership meetings and decision-making forums chaired by the COO, including the Operational Management Team (OMT), Business Services Directors Deep Dives and IMT. It involves coordinating and supporting COO-sponsored initiatives through preparation, organisation and follow-up activity, rather than owning the delivery of complex programmes.
A key aspect of the role is ensuring that all COO-led meetings are well prepared, with decisions clearly captured and agreed actions effectively tracked and followed through. The role also takes responsibility for the administrative, coordination and preparation work required to enable smooth and effective COO-led decision-making.
In addition, a core requirement is the ability to produce consistently high-quality PowerPoint materials at pace, suitable for senior decision-making forums, including OMT and Board-level audiences where required.
This role can be based in either London or Birmingham but will require travel to both office locations.
About you:
We’re looking for someone with experience as an Executive Assistant or in senior operational support within a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Naturally curious, you’ll be open to exploring and embracing AI technologies.
You’ll bring strong administrative, organisational and project coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail. Highly proficient in PowerPoint, you’ll be confident creating clear, concise and visually polished presentations for senior leaders, often building first drafts from minimal direction.
You’ll also have solid Excel skills, including managing trackers, maintaining action logs and carrying out light analysis, with confidence working with management information. Strong stakeholder management is essential as you’ll engage confidently with senior leaders and follow up on actions constructively, building positive relationships along the way.
Demonstrating as a strong communicator, you’ll be proactive, adaptable and dependable, able to manage competing priorities and stay calm under pressure. You’ll take initiative, work flexibly and bring a thoughtful, solutions-focused approach, building trust and credibility quickly with those around you.
