Operation Superintendent - Eastern Canada (full time)

Oversee regional operations including safety, compliance, reliability, operations planning and human resource management.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You’ll lead a team and be responsible for creating a positive, engaged work environment, including performance management, development, and workforce planning
• A big part of the role is overseeing scheduling and resource planning, making sure the right people and equipment are in place to support operations effectively
• You’ll manage fleet maintenance, including preventative maintenance programs, compliance requirements, and coordinating repairs or upgrades with internal teams and vendors
• Safety is a top priority. You’ll help drive a strong safety culture, lead incident reviews, support audits, and ensure best practices are consistently followed
• This role is very operationally focused, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys finding smarter, more efficient ways to use resources, improve performance, and reduce costs
• You’ll also oversee key administrative responsibilities such as payroll reporting, budgeting support, and operational cost forecasting
• Training and compliance are important components of the position, including managing employee certifications, customer-required training, and ensuring all fleet and regulatory requirements are met
• You’ll work closely with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, providing operational support, resolving concerns, supporting sales activities, and helping manage larger projects when needed

What makes you great*

• We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of industry experience, ideally with a strong understanding of operations, equipment, or fleet-related environments
• A technical diploma is considered an asset, but a minimum high school diploma is required
• You should have solid mechanical aptitude and be comfortable troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and finding practical solutions
• Previous leadership experience is important, including at least 5 years of people management and team development
• This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions, and working independently while staying aligned with broader business goals
• You’ll have responsibility for leading and supporting a team of direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and accountability
• We’re looking for a proactive problem solver who can balance day-to-day operational needs with longer-term planning and continuous improvement
• The position operates with a high degree of autonomy, so success comes from being organized, self-driven, and confident in managing priorities and resources effectively

This is an existing position with an annual salary range of $95,000 – $110,000.
