
Primary Responsibilities:
The University of Oklahoma is on an aggressive path to becoming a leading public research university. The OU Health Campus (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health, Allied Health, and Nursing) plan to hire 200 clinician-scientists in the next three years, and the College of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics plan to play a significant role in that growth.
Oklahoma Children’s Hospital is starting a process to become a nationally recognized children’s health organization and one of the leading providers of children’s specialty care in the Southcentral U.S. The dramatic research and clinical expansion that will transform the future for children in Oklahoma and beyond.
The Department of Pediatrics is a multi-faceted department with 18 sections and more than 240 faculty members. The faculty constitute the principal medical staff of The Oklahoma Children’s Hospital at OU Health and in addition to creating new knowledge through research, share a commitment to serving and protecting the well-being of the state’s children, as well as providing quality education to trainees. The 300+ bed Children’s Hospital at OU Health serves as one of the teaching hospitals of the OU Health Campus and is the only tertiary and quaternary health care facility in the state dedicated to the care of children.
