
The Department of Endodontics seeks a full-time non-tenure Open Rank Professor and Pre-Doctoral Director of Endodontics. The Pre‑Doctoral Director of Endodontics provides direct supervision, instruction, and evaluation of pre‑doctoral dental students in all didactic, pre‑clinical, and clinical simulation endodontic settings. The Director oversees and coordinates the teaching activities of full-time and part‑time faculty involved in pre‑doctoral endodontic education, ensuring instructional consistency, faculty calibration, and adherence to departmental standards.

EDUCATION: DDS or DMD degree from a CODA‑accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school, or an equivalent international degree. Candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in endodontics, competence in teaching pre‑doctoral students, and a commitment to evidence‑based practice, professional integrity, and high‑quality education.
DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES:
Advanced training in endodontics with experience teaching pre‑doctoral dental students in didactic, pre‑clinical, and clinical settings, along with a strong record of providing high‑quality, evidence‑based endodontic care in an academic or clinical teaching environment.
The role requires demonstrated ability in curriculum development, student assessment, and the use of contemporary educational and simulation technologies.
Possess strong clinical proficiency in both non‑surgical and surgical endodontic procedures, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Familiarity with modern endodontic instrumentation, digital dentistry, and current best practices is highly desirable.
